Birmingham- anyone know what year?

Post by WZ744 » Sat Apr 14, 2012 6:26 pm

Hi everyone,
I took these photos at the old observation lounge quite a few years ago.I have no idea of the date but I think maybe late 80's- early 90's.
Not very good shots I'm afraid but I only had a cheap camera back then.
Any help appreciated,thanks.
Colin.

Hi There,

well I can tell you that the Orion A300 was theirs between April 1987 to Jan 1989, if that helps you?

Regards

My first days spotting, Orion, a Paramount MD83 (just), BA 1-11's and the Trident in the distance, those were the days. It all seemed a bit boring at the time

Thanks for the comments, I'm sure I have a lot more somewhere which would narrow it down but can't find them.
Going on your info for the A300 Reggie, it must have been 1988, so that does help a lot :thumb:
cheers, Colin.

Hi WZ744 I flew Birmingham-Athens in Paramount MD83 G-PATC in July 1987. Not sure how long Paramount lasted but that might narrow it down a bit. Cheers.

Paramount lasted July 86-Summer 89
G-PATC left in Dec 88 to Air Liberte France
was only delivered new in April 88
