SPOTM October 2014, 'TWO OF A KIND'
This month's special photo competition (SPOTM) subject is 'TWO OF A KIND' - two aircraft of the same type in the same photo
Photos entered must be of two civilian registered aircraft or helicopters, they can be airworthy, preserved, withdrawn from use/stored or abandoned!
To clarify what is and is not acceptable, we discussed this in the calendar topic and the ruling was ‘it should be the same airframe even if one is built under licence, AND the same airframe series with different powerplants is acceptable as in some cases there may be almost indistinguishable differences - hope that makes sense’. For example 2 different A.320 series (318,319, 320,321) is acceptable but an A310 and an A320 is not, likewise a 747-200 with an 747-400 is acceptable but a 737 with a 727 is not. An entry will have to obviously contravene the rules to be discounted. The aircraft do not have to be in the same colour scheme. All that leaves a wide choice of ideas and hopefully we will see some real gems entered! Get thinking – and trawling through all your old photos as well
Photography Competition Rules :-
1. Only one entry per user, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry..
2. The photo may have been taken on any date, it does not have to be taken in the month of the competition
3. The image can be photo-shopped to some extent, levels changes, cropping, sharpening etc. are all acceptable. The photograph must retain it’s initial subject though, don’t make it something it’s not, (cutting and pasting the moon into the shot, for example !). HDR images are not acceptable. If you are unsure, please PM a moderator.
4. The competition will remain open until 23.59 on the 1st November 2014, to enable anyone with a last minute entry some breathing space.
5. Voting will be conducted by a poll open to all the membership shortly after the closure of the competition.
6. The decision of the moderating team is final.
7. All images must be posted in line with the usual CA posting rules (size etc.), please read them if you're not sure how to post.
8. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
9. Please also embed the images and not links to images, if you're not sure how to do it then shout up and someone will sort it out. It is permissible to change your entry before the closing date.
10. Do not comment on other member's photos.
11. A brief description of where and when the image was taken would be welcome too – tell us all about it.
please note the title has nothing to do with poker and therefore 2 Cessna 172s do not necessarily beat 2 Cessna 150s!
Good luck everyone.

I'll start off with my effort.
Tiger Airways Airbus A320-232, 9V-TAU, landing at Penang International Airport, 24 March 2014. In the background, Airbus A320-233, 9V-SLG, of Silk Air stands at the gate being readied for departure on its return flight to Singapore.

Re: SPOTM October 2014, 'TWO OF A KIND'
EDIT - I decided to change my entry to this one of the 2 spartans at Little Gransden in August this year, such a fantastic looking aircraft and to see two together was a real treat. They don't make them like that any more
just had to enter a pic of them

Re: SPOTM October 2014, 'TWO OF A KIND'
Changed my photo, as the one of 4 blades was deemed not suitable...
Here's of the perennial Ryanair 737's taking off from Stansted on the 7th August, with another one in the distance...
Hopefully heading off to sunnier climes than were around Essex at that time!!
