SPOTM competition , June 2014 - just one engine
This month's subject is 'just one engine', the photo must be of must be a single engine aircraft
The photo may be of any single engined aircraft including microlights but NOT helicopters, active or not and can be propeller or jet powered to allow the widest possible scope.
Entries must be of aircraft that are registered as a civilian aircraft or were last registered as civilian aircraft and are now WFU i.e. will not return to a military register. We are aware that this will allow the inclusion of warbirds which are almost universally civilian registered so to ensure compliance with the rules IF you are posting a warbird please quote it's civilian registration with your entry.
After a long debate we took the decision to allow warbirds photos into the competition as they are already acceptable in the airshows section of the photography forum.
Photography Competition Rules :-
1. Only one entry per user, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry..
2. The photo may have been taken on any date, it does not have to be taken in the month of the competition
3. The image can be photo-shopped to some extent, levels changes, cropping, sharpening etc. are all acceptable. The photograph must retain it’s initial subject though, don’t make it something it’s not, (cutting and pasting the moon into the shot, for example !). HDR images are not acceptable. If you are unsure, please PM a moderator.
4. The competition will remain open until 23.59 on the 1st July 2014, to enable anyone with a last minute entry some breathing space.
5. Voting will be conducted by a poll open to all the membership shortly after the closure of the competition.
6. The decision of the moderating team is final.
7. All images must be posted in line with the usual CA posting rules (size etc.), please read them if you're not sure how to post.
8. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
9. Please also embed the images and not links to images, if you're not sure how to do it then shout up and someone will sort it out. It is permissible to change your entry before the closing date.
10. Do not comment on other member's photos.
11. A brief description of where and when the image was taken would be nice too.
Good luck everyone.

My turn to be the first...
Picture was taken at a civilian airshow at Leopoldsburg / Sanicole in Belgium. The pilot made a "very, very" low pass over the airstrip.

Just about the only single engine-themed image I''ve got. G-BIXH @ NCL, May 2013...

here's my offering, as nobody else has done a jet, I thought I would. Vampire G-VTII (one of the projects which I support a bit) at the Air Britain fly in at North Weald in 2012:

Excuse the image, it was taken on an old Canon Ixus 750, so not the best!

A late entry which is about the only single-engined thing I've ever posted on here!
