Southend - Football visitors 1-6-2024

A bit surprised no one yet has mentioned visitors around the London airports for the Champion League Football.
I saw that Southend was getting a bit (see Airfield report).
It has changed a lot, difficult to get any decent photos if already on the deck.

Some nice visitors there, such a shame there are so many obstructions everywhere to get decent shots though.

You did well considering how difficult it is these days.

Reasonable viewing chances went down when Stobbard bought it, and built the new terminal.
Still seem to get the occasional interesting aircraft.
Light aircraft population diminished and tucked away.
I think there is a lot of empty hangarage.

Oh for the days of Carvairs, CL-44's, DC-6, -
showing my age !
