I travelled up to Old Warden on Thursday for the de Havillan Moth Club 'Gathering of Moths' event. Whilst planned as a two day event, with the Friday being at RAF Henlow, the incoming storm front forced the cancellation of the second day and may have resulted in some planned attendees not making the trip. Nonetheless, I believe that 43 de Havillands attended including 27 Tiger Moths, 4 Moths, 4 Hornet Moths, 4 Chipmunks and one each of the Leopard, Puss, Fox and Beaver variety. In addition the Shuttleworth Collection was open for viewing and included further Moth types.
The event was increadibly well attended for a Thursday and weather played ball with bright sunshine and only a light wind. It was great to meet up with CA's Andygolfer and have a couple of chats during the day.
Hopefully the photos below give the event the credit it deserves.
First of many Moth arrivals and in a standard RAF training scheme but with Polish Sqn emblem as a nice touch.

I've probably overdone the number of photographs but still not given the day justice. If you want to see more I've created a Flickr album from the day at
