Flickr flippin' useless this morning

Has anybody else tried to upload photos to Flickr this morning but failed miserably like me?
I've been trying for ages and it just times out and has currently been hanging for about 1/2 hour trying to upload - that's the furthest I've got!

They were doing updates yesterday right through to late evening so there was no access possible and looks like something hasn't worked. Are they using the same software engineers as TSB? I wouldn't mind if I was on the free version but I use PRO for reliability!

I haven't tried uploading this morning, but I did receive a message when I was browsing to say that they upgrade was complete but some parts of the site may not work properly and they would be addressing them as soon as possible. Seems like they have carried out a massive engineering exercise and tried to get most of the site back online as quickly as possible, even with some bits broken. It's debatable whether that's the best approach, but that's what they have chosen to do. Hopefully it means better stability and performance from now on.

It's just impossible to load anything, I'm even trying just one photo now but it still says it's publishing for ages and just 'hangs'!

It's a virtually complete failure today, I have managed to upload 8 photos but the most I managed at one go was 4 and the rest were singles. I logged out of Yahoo and then logged back into see if that would help but it didn't much, I didn't get the upload failure notice when I tried a few pics but it's just been trying to upload them for about an hour now!

They seem to have made a big mess of something

I noticed that too. Fixed now though.

There's been a marked improvement in the speed of the site since the move, which is very welcome.

now i have lost my gps coordinates,all my photos since the last few days that i have uploaded have geo tags generated from lightroom but the flickr map is blank like they have not been geotaged,have anyone else had this problem with geo tagged photos

I'm having the same issues with uploading that I struggled with when they implemented the upgrade a few weeks back

It was working fine at 7.30 this morning I managed to upload 8 pics and all the geo tags worked!

I'm finding Flickr quite un-usable this evening and going to give up for the time being. Hopefully I'll get a decent selection of my photos from Daks over Damp Duxford loaded up some time this the weekend. A subscription extension would be warranted given the lack of a function service from Flickr since the server change.

As I said elsewhere it's been painful all day. It worked okay for a while this evening but then went into snail mode again and it's excrutiatingly slow if you try to grab a photo code. Sorry to hear you had problems as well neil.

Please see the post elsewhere saying that the POTM & SPOTM entry deadline has been extended by 48 hours in case flickR issures are preventing anyone from posting an entry

I think an subscription extension for subscribers would be in order, although I'm not sure their cashflow would facilitate it. I've had issues uploading for the past two evenings, although I haven't tried today (been at a somewhat damp Stansted).
