My first outing in a couple of years took me to the open house at this small airfield just off the US-101 near Gilroy. They hold these open days on the first full weekend of each Month. The rest of the time the airfield is private. Very friendly bunch of people who will quite happily chat with you about their aircraft and aviation in general and there are some gems to be found here. You can walk around the Hangars just no touching or going into Hangars without permission. It's a turf runway with the addition of a water strip next to the runway. Anyway here's a selection of my day out.
