Not really my cup of tea, but the wife wanted to see him, so I got two tickets for her birthday- got to say he was great, really enjoyed the show, and would recommend anyone given the opportunity to go and see him. His support was the excellent Gabrielle- forgot how good she was, and is back on the music scene.

Thanks Mike, did enjoy the concert- and have booked tickets to see Gabrielle at the Parr Hall in Warrington next year- also the wife has bought tickets to see Art Garfunkel in Manchester next year as well- regarding the Parr Hall Roy Wood and Wizard are on there next year as well. Small venue, but gets some good turns on.

Roy Wood still does loads of live gigs and they're always an absolute treat to go to apparently, I think his band is known as the "Roy Wood and his Rock 'n Roll Band" now, here's a video of their 2015 gig at The Robin2, Bilston in 2015 :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OGGU_TQK04 It's mad & chaotic, but bloomin' good fun.

I last saw him at the Edinburgh Odeon in 1974 when he was with Wizzard, that wasn't yesterday!

Mike- I stand corrected senior moment - you are right Roy Wood and his Rock and Roll band. Just had a look at the Parr Hall website.
