the last part of my trilogy and I finally managed a few photos before it was time to collect my neighbour from T3, these were taken from Hatton cemetery...
much easier light to manage than the previous afternoon, if only I could have stayed longer!

Great shots Andy - i must try the cemetry for 27L shots, but no rush otherwise to go there!

Thanks also for the post about the Premier Inn - frustrating for you but passing on that info will be useful to many others in their planning. I'm thinking of using it Easter time when dropping off my daughter at T4 for a trip to Mexico - just need to book a westerly wind.

thanks Neil, I will do a proper write up on it in the Heathrow spotting section soon. The wind really caught me out, didn't look like it would be coming from the east at all the night before. I thought it would change round again but not until later on around midday (I was gone by 10.15). I'd like to say exactly whhich number is ideal but not really certain. I was in 785 and I reckon about 3 rooms further to the east )about 782) would have got round the radar tower and avoided the T7 on the stand in front of me - of course they might park one on the next stand along on another occasion.

I'd not seen that tower mentioned anywhere in reports! :grr:
