The company says that it was simply a weather diversion back to the departure airfield. However, Paul isn't the first to say something happened at Belfast City; have a read of https://forums.flyer.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=1521873. I should imagine all will be clear in the final report, especially as the controllers at Belfast City probably had an excellent view of any landing attempt that may have been made.
