Manchester 7/2/16 Etihad new livery

Another new one for me. Been hoping to see this one for some time. Much better than the old livery. Actually went along to see this and the Iberia A340 just out of the paint shop but that didn't leave until much later so I missed it.

Nice photos Mike.

To me it looks as though the new livery accentuates the length of the 300 version.

despite the excellent pics I'm not overly keen on the scheme though but I agree with Cessna re the lengthening effect of it.
I'd hate to be a modeller trying to reproduce it on a 1/72nd scale version

This is the first triple that i have seen in the new livery and like others i am not sure about it, I like the new livery on the A380 but it does make the 777 look very long and it looks like half a paint job, the nose and the engines look like the old livery and from the wings back looks like the new livery

Other feedback I've received was along the lines of :-

- WWI Dazzle paint for ships..
- When are they going to finish it ?
- How does this pattern/livery relate in any way to Etihad ?

Definitely stirs up a mixed response.. Very Marmite - some love it, some hate it.

Do I like it ? Well I certainly think it's better than the old livery.
