Nice work Chris :thumb:

Unfortunately, unless you're on the north apron, we don't get the sun as direct on the nose as you do at Manchester...... :grr:

Great shots! The light on that 777 is amazing!

Quick question ... Is that spot back open at Manchester now? Looks closer than it actually was?

Thank you for the information Chris, how did you enter in front of the car park? Had a look on google and bing maps and cant see how to get there. Going to try and check this place out on Saturday.

Hope this helps and makes sense. Ive done this little map for you.

The green circle is now all carpark too!

The blue circle is where you can park. you dont need to enter the carpark, its a patch of gravel on the right hand side as your driving down so totally free. a few people park here. might be a little further down the road than the blue circle though.

then just follow the white path all the way to the red circle and you can choose where to view from :) can walk most the length of the runway. just take a set of steps with you :)

have they put the new fence in this area yet, and how big a set of steps did you use to get over the fence ?

this area used to be fantastic before they extended the car parks and you could go down and stand on the large banks and get fantasic views of the line ups

that shot was taken off the top of one of the mounds that used to be at that spot, shame we lost it to a carpark, it was my fave spot at man when the were on single runway ops
