thanks for posting them - nice to see 2 posts of pics from LBA on the same day, that doesn't happen very often!

Nice set Ian. I see you were down by the crash gate towards the end of 32 for most of these.

Hi Steve..
Yeah spent most of the afternoon their, then headed to 14 for the arrival of trade air.. 'great spot'... but I remember going rite down the fence line near the golf club for euro 96.... that's when the fence was a lot lower, these days you need a bigger pair of steps.. but still fab place for shots..
cheers

Great pics. Not been spotting at LBA in a decade or two, thinking of popping down on Tuesday if the weather is good.
What is parking like at the spotting locations, or is it safer to get the bus?

Re: Leeds Bradford 22/07/2017
Hi Tim..
Sorry for late reply.. been very busy with work.. anyway I don't really know much about Leeds for spotting as my local is Durham Tees valley, but if the aircraft are landing on 14, then I usually go to the graveyard which is great for shots most of the day until later afternoon/early evening when the sun gets round, but still good when aircraft turn onto the runway to line up. (last two shots of the Tradeair FK100 and Ryanair 737). If your heading to the airport from the south then turn right at the roundabout before the tunnel under the runway and follow the road until you come to a T junction.. turn left then that will take you under the approach, Just after that point the roads turns left with a right turn off, take the right turn and you will then see the layby on the left..
If wanting some rotation landing shots depending on which way their landing.. then head under the tunnel of the runway into the village of Yeadon, where you'll hit a cross roads.. turn left there and head up the hill for about a mile but keep looking for a left turn as the roads heads right.. then follow it to a crash, this is where i took the earlier shots form.. you'll need steps though as the fence is quite high.. and try not to park against the fence as the local police have regular visits and will ask you to move if blocking the crash gate.. I've always had a car when visiting Leeds so not too sure how you would get on with regards to public transport???? maybe one of the locals can help, but hope you have a good day Tim
cheers
