Aahhh those were the days - 1-11, 727, DC-10 and good views too. Only recall one visit to spot at Gatwick from the terrace but great spotting. Have a few slides somewhere but not that good if I remember. And how about Queen's Building at LHR...!

Great variety of aircraft types in those images. That's when spotting was fantastic fun. You never knew what was on approach and where it could've come from.
I don't spot anymore but still have an interest. I went to LHR recently but only lasted a couple of hours as it was an incessant parade of Boeing and Airbus types.
