It's that time of year again, it's a bit like Marmite for most grown-ups - either love it or hate it.
I now detest it, kids come to the door with nothing more than a white sheet over their heads and don't do any tricks or treats - they just want money. They'll eat any sweets you give them, but give them any fruit and you'll find it in bits on the road or pavement the next day.
What are your thoughts?

Re: Halloween.
Evening Mike..I think Halloween has got too commercial and lost it's tradition the same with Bonfire Night,Christmas,New Year celebrations and so on.Regards Tim
Re: Halloween.
Mike- Ditto to your comments- the kids that come to our door are the ones who love banging our windows and running off- but we still buy bags of sweets to give to the wasters.

Re: Halloween.
my wife buys sweets and I let her deal with the few that do come, don't mind if they are young children with a bit of parental supervision but a 20 year old looking down at me saying' trick or treat mate' doesn't enthuse me much i'm afraid.
If it was light until late this time of year I'd go to STN with my camera for the evening to avoid them. Maybe we should have British Halloween Time for just one day with the clocks forward so it's light until midnight

Re: Halloween.
I'm buying a huge tin of sweets, loads of beer and wine, stacks of monkey nuts and we're going to scoff the lots ourselves in the dark.

Re: Halloween.
8.20pm now so I should hope the trick or treaters have all gone home which means I can put the batteries back in the doorbell and say to my wife 'well we have all these sweets and nobody bothered to call again this year so I guess we had better start eating them!' - works every year
