An update from sunny South Wales

Post by DaveSheffield » Tue Mar 10, 2015 6:40 pm

Hi all, been away for a while and a few bits and bobs have arrived from around the world. I also finally got to see our resident old lady. Here is a summary:

The reason I went down yesterday. Yakutia are sending a few of their 757s through this month, led to believe most are heading to America for freighter conversion. ImageYakutia Airlines B757 VQ-BMW by djwilliams1990, on Flickr

There's already two of their aircraft here ImageYakutia Airlines B757-23N(W) VQ-BCF by djwilliams1990, on Flickr

Cyprus Airways' demise has been well documented. We got all their aircraft, four within hours of each other on one afternoon!

They've all been returned to their lessor and have adopted Manx registrations ImageEx-Cyprus Airways A320 M-ABIK by djwilliams1990, on Flickr

So it's quite a unique line up we have now:

I mean where else would you see this?! ImageA unique combo by djwilliams1990, on Flickr

Cardiff is significantly less busy. I did manage to catch my first glimpse of the new KLM scheme yesterday though

And the old girl on a temporary stay, should be with us through to the middle of summer at least. One of the oldest C-130s around. It came up from a previous stay in Morocco and you can only imagine it wondering why it couldn't have stayed there, as it sat in the rain!

Thanks all, hope it's been of interest!
