There is also the pay and display car-park on the Elmdon side.

There's also a footpath between the railway and the airport. Obviously not somewhere you'd want to stand all day (unless you collected both trains and planes?) but it gives another angle onto the Elmdon Apron (freight & GA) and a different view onto anything parked on the North Apron (current Ryanair storage apron)

Hangar1 (the older hangar nearest the Elmdon terminal) has been demolished which gives much improved views from the MSCP over the GA & cargo apron.

A couple of updates regarding the MSCP on the Elmdon side. The carpark is closed between 2100 - 0400 each day to deter anti-social behaviour/boy racers. Also, there have been occasions recently at evening/night where the Police have set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the Elmdon side of the airport and stopping all private vehicles/any individuals to ask the nature of the visit (again to deter/catch anybody there to commit crime/anti-social behaviour). The Police have no issues with anybody going there to spot/photograph so once they know why you're there, will let you get on with it.

As usual with winter, the top floor of the Elmdon MSCP has been closed off to vehicles (due to H&S, the top floor can get very icy in cold weather). It is still possible to park on a lower floor and walk upto the top floor.
