Ruby Star Antonov An-12BK EW-484TI is due in from Minsk at 13:30 as RSB1001. There is currently no departure time for the aircraft.

Kalitta Air 747 N708CK is also due in from Leipzig at 10:15 on the usual LEJ - EMA - LAX rotation, it will stay for roughly 2hrs before departing.

The An-12 was only meant to stay 40 minutes however the cargo never turned up for it so was moved to remote stands and night stopped, could be due out today (11th) but no updates yet.

AN-12 departed as RSB1002 aprox 16.30 about to pass overhead Bury St Edmunds

Hi Robert the road you’re mentioning I think is Diseworth road and yes that is generally the best place to view the airport as you can see the majority of the airport pretty well from there and it doesn’t matter which runway direction is in use. On weekdays yes from around 4pm to 10pm is the busiest but do bare in mind that between 4pm and 6pm is still generally quite quiet other than the CLA 747 arriving.

Magma Aviation (Air Atlanta Icelandic) 747-412F TF-AMC diverted into EMA today at around 10:30 due to bad weather (fog) at Doncaster whilst on a flight from Cairo to DSA, the aircraft repositioned back to DSA at around 12:22.

* Kalitta Air 747F N705CK diverted in from Los Angeles as K4335 at around 12:35 (currently unloading, reason for divert and unloading of aircraft unknown).

* Cargolux Italia 747F LX-SCV due in at about 07:20 from New York JFK as CLX42W, bringing more Formula E equipment from the New York E Prix for the London E Prix. It is due to reposition out empty to Luxembourg at 09:20.

* Kalitta Air 747F N743CK due in from Leipzig at 09:20 as K4330, should stop for about 2 hours before departing to LA.
* N741CK still AOG and G-CLAA should be in and out at the usual times operating the CVG - EMA - CVG route.
