I can almost hear the engine sounds and smell the fumes - what a variety of types and operators , todays operators/types seem less varied or interesting.

A great selection, there was certainly more variety at Gatwick then than there is today. Just a quick question, whose B737 is parked behind the Air2000 B757 (blue tail with a white arrowhead)?

That 737 is with the French carrier Aéromaritime - they operated F-GFUA to F-GFUI.
