A very nice post indeed, I didn't realise that any of the US Air/Allegheny 1-11s ever made it back to the UK either - mind you I don't think I've ever checked. I saw loads of them on my 1st trip to the US in 1976 and even managed to fly in N1112J & N1542, happy days!

I lived in West Parley in the late 60's to the late 70's and had many many happy spotting days at Hurn.
