As Andy mentioned in
this thread, he and I responded to a request to photograph the last flight of an easyJet captain before being made redundant. As usual, I am lot slower than Andy in preparing my images, so some of these may seem familiar from Andy's post. I hope you enjoy them anyway.
Rarest visitor was a Kenyan Citation Bravo, operated by AMREF. One of the founders of AMREF was Archibald McIndoe, who did so much for severely burned aircrew in WWII. It arrived as darkness descended, delayed somewhat by the Lauda A320 operating a Ryanair flight with a security alert that closed the airfield for 30 minutes or so, and saw two RAF Typhoons orbiting in the overhead at 11,000ft.
