Hi, thanks for the help, I will be back at Kemble a week today so will provide more updates thenMaltatripper wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 8:33 pmHi EMA,
I can confirm 9H-AEJ, which had no nose section when I was there 2 days ago.
A340 2-AGDD and EC-MFB did both to have nose sections in place.
The nose section is G-CELW complete with cargo door.
I believe that G-CELX is around the back, (I will check).
I thought that G-GDFE also had it's nose section, (I will check).
The B727 is 2-MMTT.
The Jet2 B737 near ASI is G-CELY and the Jet Time is OH-JTZ.
B737 EI-FFM is in the Chevron Area with the Corsair and BA B747.
A320 LY-SPC is behind the G-CIVN and EC-MFA.

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
I know they’re not large passenger aircraft but here’s a movement log from my visit yesterday :
G-TOES Freedom Aviation Piper PA-28-161
G-EGWN Freedom Aviation Champion 7ECA Citabria Aurora
G-XAVI Freedom Aviation Piper PA-28-161
G-ECAR Bulldog Aviation Robin HR200/120B
G-OBJT Private Owner Europa
G-TESR Private Owner Tecnam P2002 Sierra
G-TGER Private Owner Gulfstream AA-5B Tiger * Flyover
G-CDHC Private Owner Slingsby T67C Firefly
G-KFCA Kemble Flying Club Ikarus C42 FB80
* The only changes I could see with the larger aircraft was that PH-ADO has now been cut in half for scrapping and that I believe the Georgian 737 is now out of the hangar, although I couldn’t make out what it now actually looks like.

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Apparently one of the Corsair 747s has been doing high power engine runs on the runway today, and rumours abound that it is due to depart at some point. Engine runs would seem to support that theory but I can't see confirmation anywhere. Any ideas? Cheers

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Hi Nitro, from my last visit it did look like one of the Corsair 747s had it's writing removed and all that was remaining was the tail art so if it isn't returning to corsair then possibly that one, however i'm not sure
Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Thanks, EMA. I've since been reliably informed that one of the ex Corsair 747s should have departed today to Bangor, Maine but I didn't see anything leave on ADSB or on the flight plans etc, so presumably still there.

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Wow that’s interesting, would love to see a 747 depart Kemble, it looks like they are all still there at the minute so we’ll just have to wait and see
Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Trying to watch developments around these BA Jumbo's as close as possible. I'm hoping to shoot at least one arriving at Kemble
I saw Qantas did a spell of pleasure flights before the last of their fleet left for the scrappers. If BA offered something similar I would be all over it. I was due to fly to New York in may for the first time on BA jumbo but all that's now gone south,
Back on topic, One of the jets at Heathrow was having ground runs the other day, so I can only assume it will be moving to Kemble or Cardiff or.....????

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Hi Dan, I’ve unfortunately heard that BA themselves have said they have no plans for any farewell flights etc which is a shame as like you I would’ve loved to have seen them one last time. I imagine that a few will move from LHR soon to their final destinations, I’ll keep a look out to see if their is any news.Dan214sqn wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 11:29 amTrying to watch developments around these BA Jumbo's as close as possible. Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
I feared that would be case, I know they did pleasure flight when concorde retired, but those were different times and is 747 as iconic??? close maybe...certainly for me it is.
Any updates on movements from LHR would be hugely appreciated. I know we all want to see them

Nice to see something leave Kemble for a change!
It appears to be using its reg as it’s flight code for those trying to find it on fr24.

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
F-HSUN was ferried from Bangor to Marana (MZJ) yesterday as well.
I’ve heard that they’re departing to be scrapped in the US instead of at Kemble, although I’d rather this rumour wasn’t true. Another rumour is that they will become firefighting planes. There were rumours of them heading out to California, possibly to be used for spares too.
F-HSEA should follow the same route.
