SPOTM May 2020 - Airliners in special and retro schemes
This is the SPOTM (Special Photo Of The Month) competition for May 2020 and the subject is airliners in special or retro schemes
The subject of your entry should be a photo of one or more civil registered aircraft past or present, in a non standard scheme for the time when the photo was taken
Photography Competition Rules :-
1. Only one entry per user, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry..
2. The photo may have been taken on any date, it does not have to be taken in the month of the competition
3. The image can be photo-shopped to some extent, levels changes, cropping, sharpening etc. are all acceptable. The photograph must retain it’s initial subject though, don’t make it something it’s not. HDR images are not acceptable. If you are unsure, please PM a moderator.
4. The competition will remain open until 23.59 (UK time) on the 7th June 2020- please note new extended closing date to enable anyone with a last minute entry some breathing space.
5. Voting will be conducted by a poll open to all the membership shortly after the closure of the competition.
6. 'Rule 6...' There's no rule 6 Bruce'
7. The decision of the moderating team is final.
8. All images must be posted in line with the usual CA posting rules (size etc.), please read them if you're not sure how to post.
9. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
10. Please also embed the images and not links to images, if you're not sure how to do it then shout up and someone will sort it out. It is permissible to change your entry before the closing date.
11. Do not comment on other member's photos.
12. A brief description of where and when the image was taken would be nice too.
If you have any questions please PM me
Andy

Re: SPOTM May 2020 - Special and retro schemes
a last minute change of mind, as there's another of the BOAC 747 in the competition I thought I would look for something different and remembered this one that won't be back any more. The Air New Zealand Hobbit 777 ZK-OKP arriving at Heathrow on a sunny December day in 2013 - I left it late to go to Heathrow that year!

Re: SPOTM May 2020 - Airliners in special and retro schemes
As I've got absolutely no photos of retro schemes, I'll go with G-EZUI in easyJet's special orange scheme for their 200th Airbus, taken at Luton on 01/04/2012.

Re: SPOTM May 2020 - Airliners in special and retro schemes
One of my favourite special schemes of relatively recent times was the Etihad Grand Prix liveries - A340-642 A6-EHJ landing at Heathrow on 09L in April 2011.

Re: SPOTM May 2020 - Airliners in special and retro schemes
Gosh I have load's to choose from, various points but oddly I am going to choose G-BYGC as well, with her doing a flypast at Fairford RIAT 2019 with the Red Arrows. I chose this because personally this was quite special, something that's not going to happen again, and a retro scheme that's not going to last long, unlike other countries retro schemes!
