I'm thinking of making the 300 mile round trip up to Old Warden on Thursday for the 'Gathering of Moths' event. I've not found a great deal of info about it on the web other than a few details via Facebook and the DHMC website. However, weather looks reasonable, but not amazing, in that part of the world so should be flyable for most.
As I've not paid a visit to Old Warden since '88, a trip there is very long overdue.

I'm going on Thursday Neil, I was told by one of the pilots that over 40 were booked in 2 weeks ago and saw somewhere in the last few days that it's now over 50. There is an opportunity to walk round the aircraft at lunch time and they should be departing mid afternoon, some are going on to Henlow got an overnight stay.
