Waitrose's suggestion for Father's Day

I've just received an e-mail from Alison, Waitrose's partner and food editor suggesting that my father might like a barbecue for Father's day!!

How can I sensitively explain to her that my father died 9 and a half years ago and thus it will be rather difficult for me to arrange a family get together for him. I doubt a BBQ is really going to please him as last time he attended a BBQ he was the main course as the occasion was his cremation!

They don't really think carefully about people who's fathers are no longer around, very insensitive really.
Perhaps it's time for me to come off their e-mailing list

There should be a way to opt-out of these, I am in the same situation.

Not as bad as the person from a water company who, when I reported his death and attempted to put the bill in my name (mum was in a care home), said they couldn't do anything without speaking to the account holder.

I made a formal complaint, and was told the person I spoke to had some career guidance! (P45???)
