No idea why you got the pm but according to their website, they are an Iran-based company offering aircraft support services including type rating training. Unless you happen to have any of the airliner types laying around that they are after, I would be inclined to ignore it - in fact I would ignore it anyway!

sorry guys, we admins did our usual checks before approving him and we both saw the aviation connection and thought it was legit but although it was aviation based it wasn't an enthusiast type user.

We spend ages checking applications (and delete many spammers) and this is the first that has got through in a long time, apologies to all who wasted time opening it but on the plus side it will get many more members logging in today!

I got it too. Odd. Just deleted it and then saw this thread.

I got an email this morning from Sussex Police investigating the Shoreham Hunter crash, it seems our sister site had given them my email address and the lady (Who has since rung me) wanted to know about my opinion on the Southport incident.
I thought this may have been something to do with it too!

Apologies to everybody (and I think it is everybody) who got this PM this morning, the person who sent it only joined this morning and was banned as soon as we (the admins) got our copies of the message ( we were not exempt from it!). One of the shortest memberships ever!
