The Endless River, well worth the wait!

Post by andygolfer » Mon Nov 10, 2014 5:14 pm

So who's bought the new Pink Floyd album, officially released today 20 years after The Division Bell?

got my copy this morning and already listening to it for the second time - it's growing on me rapidly/instantly. I think it will be a regular in the car and on my mp3 player for those sleepless nights! A very long wait for something I didn't think would happen but worth waiting for.

so what do you think of it?

I'm about to order it, I'm still watching Jeff Lynne at Hyde Park at full volume on a daily basis - every song was actually better than the original. :)

I've just got a copy myself!

Isn't bad, but not one I would highly rate over the originals of course, Division Bell and p.u.l.s.e is my top best albums from Pink Floyd.

totally different to all the previous ones.

My favourites are still Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here and I listen to them quite regularly even 40 years on

You have to remember that this album is actually taken from old archives which have been carefully rearranged and approved by band members like Roger Waters and if you listen carefully, some of the tracks have been arranged from previous albums like The Division Bell. Personally I don't think it's not up to their best standards, apart from the last track. But I guess in the end it's a matter of personal taste.
Ah. I'd like to have an argument, please. ... Receptionist: Well, It's one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten.
