Tall Pilot Woe

Hey, long story short is that I have applied for and been rejected Commercial Pilot training in the UK on the basis that I am 6'6" tall and the height limit for certain airlines is 6'5" (6'3" in the case of BA). Is there anybody that knows of a training program that allows for people over 6'5" in the UK?

It's probably best to join PPRuNe and ask the question over there, here's the link :- http://www.pprune.org/

Good luck with your career. :) :thumb:

Hi Mike,

Thanks for taking the time to reply, naturally I've tried pprune.org but thought I would cast a wider net and see if anyone had some advice outside the box so to speak.

Thanks again for replying

No problem, did you get any helpful answers from pprune?

Mostly Pilots telling me that they are taller than the supposed height restrictions and to not let it stop me. Not much in the way of a concrete way of getting around it though.

I will NEVER complain about being 5'8" again. What a downer. Good luck and I hope you get to live your dream !
