Oxford area

Anyone know of any small friendly civil airfields around the Oxford area were you can get a few photos ?, or due to security reasons are they all a no no.

Enstone is usually friendly, I've visited a couple of times and asked in the clubhouse on the Southside and always found them to be friendly and co-operative. The guy's on the Northside (by the Tower) are usually friendly too but don't forget to ask permission again to look around here.

Thanks very much for that information Martin, I hope to plan a couple of visits somewhere when I go down that area, hopefully I wont have to get the wife to wear a short skirt and get her to ask then

If you're visiting the area at the weekend, there's RAF Weston on the Green. There was a very nice looking Do28 (HA-VOC) being used by the Skydiving centre last time I went (although with a reg' like that, not sure I'd like to jump out of it ) along with a few Gliders

Enstone is certianly worth a visit though
