Canon R7

Post by AirbusA321 » Thu Mar 27, 2025 1:19 pm

Hi all I've just upgraded to an R7 from a 77D and I'm looking for some advice on setting for aviation. If anyone can help I'd be really grateful.
Thanks in advance ☺️

Hi Chris welcome to the group and thanks fir asking.
May I suggest you post a few photos in the photography discussion section so we can see how you are doing please.
If we can see the photos and identify any areas for improvement then that will be a good first step. Personally I'd keep it simple and make any changes in careful stages abd not too much at once. If you see an improvement it's important to know what brought it about (and the opposite if something worsens of course).

Super good camera straight out of the box, but I have found if panning on a slow shutter speed, telephone poles or the like will be pointing at 45 degres on some shots but normal on others. Its definately a camera to play about with everything, then factory reset and start again, theres so much to play with!!!! Very good choice.

I've found that its extremely good for video, see my YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@OneMansAviation

and an example video

Best advice....play with it and dont worry about screwing it up, if in doubt, factory reset!
