Have recently returned from a month on Lombok Island (Indonesia).Flew Singapore A380 Heathrow-Changi,Silk Air A319 Changi - Lombok & return & Singapore B777-300ER Changi- Heathrow.Lombok has about 25 scheduled flights a day, mainly flights within Indonesia operated by Garuda,Merpati & Lion Air B737s & Indonesia Air Transport,Trigana Air,Wings Air & Batavia ATRs & Fk50s etc.Only international flights at the moment are the 3 times a week Silk Air A319 Changi service & a daily Merpati flight to Kuala Lumpar, this will change at the end of the year when a brand new airport opens when more international services are due to begin.Saw a lot of biz, exec movements as the island has gold mines ,pearl farms etc. Also noted quite a few Cessna floatplane/amphibians on local inter island flights.Military movements included Indonesian A.F/Navy C-130s,CN235s & Nomads.
