A selection from an enjoyable day at Old Warden today - the Spitfire XIV and Jet Provost T3A were my particular highlights, but there were many other excellent displays too...

very nice, I only started on my photos late last evening so will hopefully finish them today or tomorrow and then post some of them.

I agree that it was mainly a good show but I'm surprised you managed a photo of the Chipmunk - that was so high doing aerobatics while others were flying past below.
The other disappointment was the Spitfire Vb - I think he was doing topsides for the people in the garden centre, every pass was a belly side curving round the house and hangars on the far side just back and forth on the same track a few times. did he get his orientation wrong?

I didn't get to see the Dove, it broke something before it got as far as me!
Andy

Thankyou Andy - yes the Chipmunk was quite high (and the Provost for most of its display too - and then I didn't do a great job of catching it when it was doing its lower passes).

Agree with you on the Spitfire Vb - I certainly breathed a sigh of relief when the Spitfire XIV came round for the first of its topside passes.

By the time I saw the Dove on its take-off run (from the cross-runway) it looked quite clear it wasn't going to be taking off and subsequently parked up to one side on the grass.

Nice mix there and looks like you captured the spirit of the day.
