Duxford arrivals and practice13-07-2018 - a snapshot!

I spent a very hot day at Duxford on Friday - Flying Legends arrivals and practice day. From posts elsewhere it seems I missed a few late on but still a few nice ones and some nice flying too. The heat haze and dust got very bad in the afternoon and I dumped far more photos than I kept, - long range efforts just weren't anywhere near sharp and even some on the ground were blurred by the heat off the tarmac. I bet it was unbearable on the show days with dense crowds reducing the air movement. Here's a few and there are some more in my flickr album

it's a grass runway, not straw - honest! everything was very parched and made the ground shots look a bit strange
