Air Britain held it's Vintage & Classic Fly-in at North Weald, over the weekend. Weather was great, sometimes too hot !
Theme this year was " 80 years of Piper" marking 80 years of the J-3C Cub, 70 years of the PA-15 Vagabond, and 50 years of the PA-28R Cherokee Arrow.
I think this is a nice venue, good access to the visiting aircraft park, and a chance to see many of the based aircraft.
I estimate about 60 visiting aircraft of different types. A little disappointing considering Piper as a theme, and such good weather.
Still, a nice day out.
Pete.

First some Pipers.

I have been going to this event for a few years. I was quite shocked at how few a/c flew in on the Saturday. The weather was perfect, I was expecting a deluge :-)

I hope it's not a trend. I know the guys work really hard to put on a good event. Phil Kemp and the gang deserve a whole lot of credit, just wished it had manifested as a huge turn out.

Not heard how the Sunday was, any better?
