the season opener at Old Warden, the forecast wasn't brilliant but turned out to be wrong and we had blue or mainly blue skies throughout the day. the wind direction meant the aircraft were taking off from the south which I personally don't like as much as the take off and landing shots aren't as good - sun tail on to the aircraft most of the day and the touch down & lift off points not as easy to capture. I took several of these in the evening as the non Shuttleworth aircraft departed for home by which time the light was side on. All in all a very enjoyable show and a good taste of what will hopefully be an excellent season at Old Warden
Some of my many pics - first airshow using my Sigma 150-600mm, the extra range helped a lot but quite a few failures as I had to get used to it in that environment.

I also took photos of all the visitors as they departed so I will put a list together later (and a few pics maybe) for anybody who needs a log for the day - I didn't get all the arrival times as we went over to Cardington first as my friend who came with me hadn't seen the Airlander (when will it fly?)
