Post your airshow images here, military aircraft that attend civilian airshows can be posted as long as the bulk of the photos in the thread are of civilian participants.

Headcorn BoB show 25-06-2022

Post by andygolfer » Mon Jun 27, 2022 1:16 pm

I went to the Headcorn Battle of Britain show on Saturday (middle day of the 3 day event), a nice airshow and a great venue for photos especially from the Flightline enclosure for where my brother had bought tickets (belated birthday present).
Here are some of my photos from the event....

there are lots more in my flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/125470545 ... 176465546/

and I'll finish with a rant! Why do official photographers get let loose on an airfield without any training on where to place themselves, I had a nice wide space between two parked aircraft (about 10 metres) so was able to pan nicely and then this tosser parked himself right smack centre in the gap, why aren't they told to stand in front of a parked aircraft where they are far less obtrusive and won't block sight lines? I labelled this photo PTFU, I'll leave you to work that out :grr:

Nice set Andy. Official toggers have the right to put themselves anywhere they like I suppose. Doesn't mean they should be blinkered to other peoples view of aircraft though. I went to Headcorn a couple of weeks ago just for an afternoon out, and was very surprised there is now a parking charge. Can't go in the musuem without lightening the pockets either. Dont know if there's different ownership or what. Never been to the "airshow" at Headcorn. Do go most years to the Combined Ops event though.
