New applications disabled

I have temporarily disabled new registration applications to the forum due do a large number of applications from spammers in the last 48 hours.
I will re-open applications in a few days when I have more time to ban spammers that apply via their names, e-mails and ip addresses.

Although new applications are not currently disabled , all new members will now be on moderation so that I can see that their posts are genuine.
Their moderation will be removed when I have seen sufficient genuine posts

I've had to disable the new registrations this evening as we've been hit by a few spammers which the moderation system interceptedbut there seems to be a lot of spamming / bot activity slowing the forum right down. This action usually makes things a bit more awkward for themand once it eases I'll turn it back on
