Apparently there is a big emergency style exercise featuring all emergency services, including military it seems, these was a typhoon that did two flypasts and an RAF A330 landed...

Dear Members
There is currently an Airport Exercise running at Stansted Airport, and the exercise does not involve the increase of any significant volume of aircraft.
Throughout the exercise, it would be appreciated that access to the Stansted Business Park (Northside) is kept to a minimum, as Emergency Service vehicles will be operating in the area, and restrictions to access are in place.
Should there be any questions relating to the exercise itself, all members of the public are asked to make contact with the Essex Police Press Office who can be contacted on 01245 452450.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support in the scheme and your co-operation throughout the exercise.
