there's a NoTAM out today for Heathrow due to a temporary change of runway this afternoon from 15.00 to 19.00 local
details from Fighter Control:
NOTAMs for Heathrow later today.
Q) EGTT/QMRLT/IV/NBO/A/000/999/5129N00028W005
B) FROM: 21/06/13 14:00C) TO: 21/06/13 18:00
E) RWY 09L/27R IN USE TO ALLOW NOTIFIED TRAFFIC USE OF 09R/27L
A2091/21
Q) EGTT/QMRLC/IV/NBO/A/000/999/5129N00028W005
B) FROM: 21/06/13 18:00C) TO: 21/06/13 22:59
E) RUNWAY 09L/27R CLOSED.
it's due to a large immaculate blue and white B747 arriving and then departing later bringing in a visitor plus his other half to Windsor Castle, there is also a B757 lookalike due from Newquay at around 16.00 local time so if you want to watch the regular traffic you will need to be on the 27R approach. And of course there will be some helicopter activity for the onward journey to Windsor.

Love the de-militarisation Andy To be a bit more accurate it is a Boeing 747-2G4B and 757-2Q8. Now that would really upset a few mil-only die-hards!
