I live at New Ash Green North Kent. Over the last few days some aircraft have have been approaching Biggin on a heading of approx 270 degrees between F/L 70 and 90 overhead my house.
It hasn't occurred before in the 20 years I have lived here. The normal heading is about 300 or 310 from the S.E which is not visible to me.
Detling is approx 090 from me.
I'm never quick enough to get out the scanner!
Just wondered if anything had changed.
Apologies if this not the correct forum.
Thanks.
Did you know that registration to Civilian Aviation is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....
New STAR??
Re: New STAR??
For LHR.
LCY traffic crosses on about 310.
The aircraft in question are 747s etc. Not a large number, but enough to be unusual.
It isn't due to weather avoidance.
Thanls.

...and LGW to Brookmans also cross on 310 climbing normally through F/L 100 or thereabouts.
The a/c appear to be at normal approach speed to Biggin--210 ish .
We are at extreme eastern edge of the Biggin hold and I am not confusing them.

Re: New STAR??
Stack-swaps? I think it's the BIG3Z that brings aircraft from LOGAN to BIG, when the LAM stacks are full
Re: New STAR??
Could well be.
A lot of holding at Biggin the last few days up to 140.
