9H-VJM Global 6000 stuck in the grass

Post by Mike » Wed Dec 11, 2019 9:25 am

Apparently 9H-VJM Global 6000 'VJT850' has run off the runway (or taxiway) after landing and is stuck in the grass, the airport is closed until at least 11.00.

It was inbound from Hanscom field, Boston with 3 crew and 1 passenger on board, there are no reported injuries.

Thanks to PPRuNe for the info.

:D

Beat me to it Mike- airport has been closed- since, and most flights are going into Manchester- latest is the easy Jet Europe A319 OE-LYY which is currently inbound into MCR from Salzburg.

:D

Stating airport will be closed until 17:00 at the earliest. Had the LFC owners on board- all thankfully unhurt. Up the Toffees. :D

Update- it carried the President of the Fenway Group -has been confirmed by LFC. It was the Liverpool FC Echo who stated the Owner was on.

The 'professionals' on PPRuNe seem to have figured out how it happened, they reckon that the crew have taken the 'racing-line' off the runway onto the high speed turn-off from the runway and simply fell off the tarmac!

That turn-off from the runway - it's best to follow the white line..................
