Anyone know of any ad hoc cargo movement today. Was at Edinburgh park and saw what looked like s Russian cargo plan do a low circle coming from west to go round into Edinburgh. Nothing on Flightradar24 would have landed around 115ish

RAF A400M ZM411 was doing approaches a short while ago - was that what you saw?

Hi,

I noticed a Dneipr Air Antonov 124 on Flight Radar 24 this afternoon heading west above the Clyde at 28,000ft which is quite an unusual route and assumed it had taken off from Edinburgh. Although I can`t confirm, this may have been the Russian a/c after night-stopping.

Cheers

Hi Clydeflyer,

There were no Russian cargo aircraft at Edinburgh yesterday, as I've already said you probably saw the RAF A400M which did a couple of missed approaches and then went to Newcastle to do the same there. I've replayed FR24 and can't see any Antonov 124s over Scotland today since midday - roughly what time did you see it on FR24? :???:

It was around midday as far as I can remember - thought it very unusual as this type visit Prestwick. Definitely a photo of the An-124 came up when I clicked on the a/c icon! Don`t know what happened there. Thanks for clarifying.

Now that would be a total dream come true, I have never ever seen an An-124 and to see one in at Edinburgh would be fantastic.
