Hi mate, their on RWY24, Ingliston and the railway bridge at turnhouse are best, you could also try Almond bank at the North side, you will see the aircraft touching down here, i presume by 'spotting' you are taking pics? The only problem with almondbank is that your pics will be backlit if the sun os out.

Thanks for the reply chris :) Was more going along for some general obs rather than pics (need to get a new camera) Reckon I'll go for ingliston as it seems the easiest to access, as I don't drive. What can expect to see on a typical weekday? as in airframes & airlines

Hmm, on a weekday...

BA 767
United 757
Turkish 738/a319
Easyjet A319/A320
Ryanair B738
Flybe ERJ 170/190, Dash 8 and Saab 340
Lufthansa A319-321.
KLM B737-700-900/F70
Norwegian Express B738
Aer Lingus ATR 72
BA Cityflyer E190
Brussels airlines A319/A320
Thomson B752

That's all i can think of from the top of my head, there are likely to be a few others like SAS or BH Air.

Chris.
