Hope this is ok to pop on the Civillian site? My Favourite 747; 82-8000 VC-25 c/s AIR FORCE 1. Photographed at the start of the George Bush Visit to Northern Ireland 16 June 2008, Airforce One is on final approach into Belfast International. Boeing VC-25A (747-2G4B)

I'm afraid this airframe does fall under the USAF thus being void in accordance to rule 3 of the competition:

3. The photo must follow the theme of the months competition, this month it is civilian variants of the Boeing 747.

There is still plenty of time to resubmit another entry

No Problem Stu I fully agree with that. Off for a rummage through other 747s, still the big blue one is a cracking varient.

Thanks to all that have taken part in Septembers specialist photo comp. The competition is now closed and we hope to continue with more focusing on different subject matter.

As a new spin on the normal competition proceedings we are going to give you folks to vote. The plan is to run it for a trial on this months comp and then see if it is feasible to continue in the future. An email account has been created for the sole purpose of competion voting, it was my intention to have it all set up for today but work and family commitments this week have pushed my schedule about a bit.

More details to follow but I hope to get it up and running for late Monday/Tuesday.
