4th Jan update. event postponed until 14/15 Jan becuase the 7/8 Jan is forecast to be wet, windy, warm and waterlogged. All the "W's", its bad. Scene of one, if not the best Icicle to date, Wolverhamptom makes a welcome returning venue for us. Great hospitality. -6 deg C last time, with overnight snow. It does not get much better than that in your summer tent. Icicle 2012, in the 6th year, had 42 aircraft and 50 campers last year. great fun with a quiz and prizes, and you get to camp out in the freezing sub zero temperatures. What else is there to so at this time of the year?? Quiz, prizes, food, drink, warm clubhouse, Walk round the peri track tothe local pub, great food and a log fire before bedding down for the night. No B&B allowed £5 to cover wolverhampton landings and camping fee. Meet old friends, make new ones. Non radio is OK, just PPR the tower first by phone. Roger Cornwell rcornwell@btinternet.com The date rolls over to subsequent weekends until the right weather, cold, crisp, good vis, arrives. Be flexible!

With temps in this area forecast to be around -3 ish this event looks promising for this weekend, although fog is also forecast which could put a damper on things.
