Halfpenny Green At War - A 1940s wartime re-enactment event organised by 1940s re-enactors!

A new event at a new venue, here is a list of some of the things you can expect to see -

Military & Period Vehicles (MVT applications welcome)
Static Displays of Wartime Weapons, Equipment & Uniforms, Allied and Axis forces, aircraft, Womens Land Army, etc.
Wartime songs from Lola Lamour & Miss Marina Mae and Pete Jones
Wartime food by "Food to Eat"
Speeches by "Winston Churchill"
Wartime fashion show
Sunday Morning Parade & Church Service
Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast applied for (Lancaster confirmed but dates or times not yet confirmed)
Trade Stalls also welcome (charge of £40 per pitch applies)
Saturday evening dance/entertainment with sit down dinner (entrance fee includes meal) £15 per head and must be booked in advance.

Along with all the above, as Halfpenny Green is a thriving GA airfield, flying in to this event will be encouraged throughout the weekend.

For any military marked aircraft attending the event, there will be no landing fee and free entry to the event.
For any period, ie pre 1950 aircraft attending the event, there will be no landing fee and free entry to the event.
For all others flying in, normal landing fees apply, but entry to the event is free
.


For visitors by road the admission costs are as follows -
£4 adults; £2 children under 16; Free entry for Veterans, Senior Citizens and children under 10.

Classic Flight have now confirmed that they will be bringing one of their de Havilland Rapides along for the weekend for pleasure flying.
