Microlight Trade Fair - Popham 1st & 2nd May

Post by Martin » Sat Apr 24, 2010 6:53 pm

I'm sure nobody has forgot but a quick reminder that the annual Microlight Trade fair is being held at Popham airfield (near Basingstoke) next weekend, hopefully the weather will be good!

For anybody who hasn't been before, it's well worth going, it's £5 per person to get in. It's worth getting there early to see the arrivals, at peak times I think it may be as busy as Heathrow with a stream of inbounds and the overhead being full of aircraft as they join the circuit to land.

Alas, it's the Girlfriends Birthday on Saturday so I shall be unable to attend this year

I'm keeping a close eye on the weather, which at the moment isn't looking very promising, before I make any decisions as to whether to drive down or not.

I decided against going due to the weather forecast but I've been looking in on the webcam at various times all day and it didn't seem to be very well attended by either aircraft or people. :(
