Camera on a budget

DSLR - 1970s? Try Very late 90s or early 2000s for the first ones. The D200 was released in 2005.

Each to their own but I would personally have put more into a single body or better glass (still with one body). Not sure why you would need four bodies? Good to see that you do your research and that you can enjoy the hobby with a restricted budget. Just a shame you went with Nikon No offence intended

I have been reading your posts with interest. For starters, I'm glad you are a bit like me and are not afraid to shop around on ebay. There is well cared for equipment on there that is perfectly suited to what you require. I personally use a Canon camera, but I do have a Nikon film camera and a Nikon Bridge camera that I would not be without.
My mate who lives up in Manchester has a Nikon D90, which he has had for some time. Its reliable and he never seems to have any problems with it. He's been with me on a few trips, one of the lens's he uses is the 'Bigma' Sigma 50-500mm and he gets great results. The Nikon D90 is a 12.3MP which gives good solid quality images.
