Perfect White?

Morning all
We have all had those dull days where white just doesn't look white.
There must be a way in Photoshop to get a decent white from a photo taken on a sunny day but can anyone give me an idiots guide to how to achieve this?
As a rough guide I want this
To have a white like this...
