British Airways Utopia world colours
Posted: Wed Jan 20, 2021 8:13 pm
For a short period 1997 to 1999 British Airways had colours called Utopia / World.
The thinking was to show BA as a world airline. Various world artists created designs that represented different cultures.
It was Marmite – love it or hate it (famously Margaret Thatcher using a handkerchief to cover up a model at an exhibition).
A short period, and pre digital – so here are some scans.
Anyone else got any to add ? A few of the schemes were added to only two or three aircraft.
Would be nice to see same colour scheme on different types.
Thanks, Pete.
